A Concrete Flatwork Technician is a person who is knowledgeable about proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure and protect concrete flatwork. This course will prepare you to take the ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician certification exam that tests your knowledge of:
The course will teach you the basic procedures for finishing concrete flatwork, using proper tools and finishing techniques as recommended by ACI and expert finishers. The course also covers subgrade and formwork preparation, concrete placement, jointing, curing, and special finishes, and emphasizes important do’s and don’ts. This course and certification provides the basic knowledge needed to conduct advance field tests for concrete. An individual who is certified as an NRMCA Field Testing Technician Grade II must demonstrate knowledge of the following ASTM standards and testing procedures:

Note: In addition to passing the certification exam, you must have a current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification to receive NRMCA Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade II certification. You can take the Grade II certification exam but will only receive certification if you pass the exam and provide proof of current Grade I certification, which can be obtained at a later date.
